Key Takeaways

You're not afraid of failing when you're doing what you were put on the earth to do.

Our biggest fear is failing at something we never wanted to do in the first place.

Remember the "Fully Body Yes!"

The Hot Seat

Q. It's 5 minutes before you go on stage. What are you doing?

A. Allowing myself to tune into myself and be a vessel for great music.

Q. What's the best performance advice you've ever received?

A. Don't stop, no matter what.

Q. What is one tip to help with stage fright?

A. Remind them that they have the power inside of them to move through it. And I'd offer to help them.

Q. What's a non-musical activity that helps you succeed as a musician?

A. Spiritual practice. Meditating and prayer.

Q. It's the end of the performance. The audience is on its feet, giving you a standing ovation. They don't want any more; they don't want any less. Everything is perfect. What have you just done?

A. It's a warehouse area. I've created a set with electronic and acoustic music. I've gotten people to connect with themselves prior and I connect the group with each other.
